Gotta start somewhere…
After a long time of commenting on other people’s blogs and procrastination, I’ve finally decided to start up my own.
As is stated by the title of my blog, these will be my real, often uncensored thoughts. I wanted a place where I could share my thoughts around like-minded people in the blogosphere, where people could get to know me but nobody really knows me. I wanted a place where I could vent. I wanted a place where I can share things that strike my fancy, whether they be funny, sad, serious, thoughtful, or even occasionally naughty. I wanted a place where I wouldn’t feel guilty about sharing my thoughts. This blog will be kept private from the vast majority of my close friends (those who know me in person) and family, for I regard it as a personal journal. Strangers and people who I’ve commented to on their blogs are welcome.
This is a new venture for me, so bear with me. I’ll try to keep updated as much as possible. Comments are always welcome as long as they are of a civil nature, are not solicitations, or spam. Trolls are not welcome and will be dealt with accordingly, depending on my mood at the time. I don’t mind being disagreed with, but don’t get nasty about it. Profanity doesn’t really bother me, so feel free to express your true selves in your comments, but try not to go overboard (try not to sound too much like Scarface or Frank Booth in Blue Velvet. And no links to anything blatantly vulgar or obscene (like porn sites). Other than the above caveats, feel free to post. I’ll update my links and visit other commenters’ sites as time goes on and people post.
One person I’d like to thank for her inspiration and putting up with my comments is Helen from Everyday Stranger. Her style, as well as the personal growth she’s experienced from her blogging, made me want to try the same. I appreciate her help in providing ideas and support in setting up my blog.
I’d also like to give thanks to Jim Peacock, formerly of Snoozebutton Dreams (since Jim’s absence, the site is only a pale memory of it’s former self. But check out the archives prior to 2005 – the posts are hilarious). He’s also been a great inspiration, and about the only blogger I’ve had the pleasure to meet in person.
So, anyone out there, other than the crickets chirping?

Ha! Thought somebody already left a comment here? Fooled you! Just a test to make sure things work.
I’m here. And I’ll send you an email soon – right now I have stepkids, rain, and builders and I haven’t even had my coffee yet.
yay! welcome to the blogosphere!
