Unbelievable

(Profanity alert!)

I cannot believe this crap.

Two El Dorado County, CA, sheriff’s deputies, are suing a woman who’s son killed her husband and then died in a shootout with police, after injuring three deputies and a police dog.

Their reasoning is that she was negligent in failing to control her troubled son’s behavior that led to the shootout.

Whatever.

I know firsthand that sometimes there is only so much that can be done with troubled kids. Sometimes they either have to be committed or imprisoned for their own and the public’s safety.  And sometimes you can’t even do that.  You just have to protect yourself and the rest of your family and hope that somehow things turn out for the best.  Sadly that didn’t happen in this case.  And to add insult to injury, this mother is being victimized again.  By the people who are supposed “to protect and to serve”.

The El Dorado Co. Sheriff’s office should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this travesty to take place.  Talk about giving themselves a PR nightmare.  Shouldn’t there be a police code of conduct that would prevent something like this from happening?  No wonder the police have themselves such an image problem, when shit like this happens. And I normally consider myself very pro-law enforcement.

This is also another example of the growing disconnect and mistrust between the government and the people.  Think the government is out to get you?  Look no further.

Of course, the bulk of my contempt is reserved for the fucking scumbag lawyer representing these piss-poor examples of public “servants”.  I hope all other decent cops out there turn their backs on these assholes and publicly shun them.

Grrrrrrr.

One Response to “Unbelievable”

  1. right up there with this: Plans are now being made to move Pantaleon home to Mexico, at the hospital’s expense. Lou Dobbs had it on here: http://loudobbs.tv.cnn.com/2008/08/21/protests-over-illegal-alien-in-coma/ and I almost came unglued when I heard what was happening. Unfrick’n believable.
