Dinner invites

Swiped this one from Sithy Things.  A list of Five People I’d Like To Have Dinner With.  Dead, living, and bloggers.

In no particular order:

Dead

1. Robert E. Lee
2. George S. Patton
3. Vince Lombardi
4. Stevie Ray Vaughan
5. Phil Harris

Living

1. Stephen King
2. Lee Iacocca
3. Margaret Thatcher
4. Chesley Sullenberger
5. Adam Savage

Bloggers

1. Mrs. Who
2. Da Goddess
3. Pamibe
4. Andy
5. Shannon

Ok, don’t feel slighted if you didn’t make my previous list (I only had room for five!).  In actuality, I’d love to sit down in a room and meet every one of you who has the patience and understanding to suffer through my bloggy mumblings, whinings, and bitchings.

The problem with lists like these is that I always end up kicking myself later when I discover perfect entries that I omitted.

Got a list of your own you care to share?

  1. Thanks for playing!

I would give my left arm to sit with Margaret Thatcher. That would be awesome! I would pass on King, though. I would probably end up throwing him out ;)

  2. Awww… thanks, Dave! I’m in very good company… :D

How do you whittle the list down to 5? And my lists are constantly changing… though I’d love to sit down with Thatcher and Reagan for a long tea…. that would be splendid.

  3. Wouldn’t it be kinda’ gross to have dinner with a dead person?

    Just sayin’…

Dave, I’m blushing. Truly. My brother in law is at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock (had a coronary). If we have to take off up that way, we’ll try to make that happen. It would be an honor.

This really is a cool idea. I thought about doing it at my joint, but I can not. Because, I would have to be totally honest (ya’ know, Bloggers get some special hell torture if they lie in blog posts).

The Mrs. reads my blog, and it would be icy cold around here when she reads that 4 of the 5 bloggers I’d like to have dinner with are female. Seriously…4 of the 5. Purely platonic friendships, mind you…but I’ve been married to her almost 33 years, and I have learned that there are some places that you just don’t go.

I’m wondering what that says about me…

Crap Dave! Now, I gotta get all introspective, and junk…

    It’s all your fault. :)

  4. Well…I am honored to be included in such a list. I’ve toyed with doing this one myself, but just can’t seem to sit down and focus. But thank you…

  5. I’ve had dinner with Pamibe! She’d top the list again.

  6. hmmm… maybe i’ll post my own list.
I was *this* close to having dinner with Mrs. Who a few years ago. And one of these days, I’ll stalk Pamibe when I’m down her way.
