I’m so happy for you guys! It’s one thing to have your prayers answered, but if everyone isn’t on board it can feel like a hollow victory.

Someone once told me that if something falls into place easily, it’s meant to be… and it seems like everything is falling right into line with the move and new job! Congrats!

Children realize their need for adult male companionship even/especially when their mothers don’t.
Real men, sensing the children’s needs, step in with their hearts-
but they’re stepping into a beartrap with the children’ mothers.
A bottomless pit of need created by adult stupidity and selfishness, which are seemingly unlimited.
Be extremely careful and stay focussed on your marriage.

Just remember your allegiance to your wife and the new little guy always come first. No matter what. No matter who needs you for what else. Those two trump any one else, even JJ. You have to make this work from the core outward rather than allowing the fringes to fray the rest. Good luck! I am excited for you and know that change is always for the good even if it is unwanted.

Don’t underestimate your wife’s intuition or read negative motives into it. She knows your weaknesses and your strengths– that doesn’t make her your enemy if she worries about you.

But you know that. What you may not know is that some people/families need an entire army of saints to prop them up and move them along toward some sort of salvation.You may be only one soldier among many that God will bring into their life. But the temptation is to think you are the ONLY one. We are not allowed that luxurious clarity when our own situation is in the fog of change.

Your bound duty is to your own family first. Your spiritual duty is to pray for and seek God’s wisdom and will for others he brings into your life, regardless of your own feelings and needs. If those boundaries are muddled, your place of emotional and spiritual safety is to retreat to the basics of your commitments. God bless you and keep you during these changes.

I don’t know, but it sure seems like you’re being led to a place where you’re desperately needed. But I also understand your wanting Yes, Dear on board. Without my husband’s support I am nothing, can do nothing. Or so it seems. Thankfully I’ve always had it… so I get that aspect.
